At Mindstage, everything revolves around strengthening inner confidence, the belief that you have the power to influence your own behavior, choices, and personal growth. We help people and organizations move forward sustainably and stay in motion, driven by that conviction.
The secret of change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new.
We believe that real change begins with confidence in your own abilities. Self-efficacy is the foundation for sustainable behavioral change, ownership, and resilience. When people understand and direct their behavior, and organizations provide the space and structure for it, development that lasts is created. Not as a temporary impulse, but as a movement from within, felt in collaboration, culture, and results.

Mindstage strengthens self-efficacy to help people and organizations move forward sustainably. We guide development programs that spark intrinsic motivation, where awareness leads to action and behavior visibly changes. Our mission is to strengthen the confidence, independence, and inner motivation that allow people to realize sustainable change in any context—work, collaboration, and daily life—on both a personal and collective level.
Mindstage was founded in 2016 by our founder, Barry van den Mosselaar. His deep fascination with people, their behavior, their beliefs, and the way they constantly and often unconsciously influence themselves and each other, formed the basis for what would later become Mindstage.
In his many years of experience with people and organizations, both nationally and internationally, Barry noticed a recurring pattern: development programs were inspiring, but they didn't stick. What was learned was often not actively tested in practice enough. There was too little ownership among employees and too little responsibility taken by organizations to truly embed behavior.
During his research into sustainable development, he observed that people became demotivated when what they had learned did not prove successful in practice, even if it had worked before. Their confidence in their own ability to successfully apply what they had learned would decline, causing valuable knowledge to slowly fade into the background.
It was precisely there that the conviction forming the core of Mindstage emerged: Real change only happens when someone believes they can do it. Mindstage is built on that conviction, using self-efficacy as the foundation for sustainable behavioral change.

Self-efficacy is not a skill, but an inner conviction that sets everything in motion. That is what we believe in. And that is what we build on, every single day.
The Mindstage training provides participants with a much better understanding and acceptance of each other's behavior. This contributes significantly to an open and collaborative culture.
Barry is an incredibly enthusiastic and positive trainer who has helped me a great deal. Specifically, becoming 'aware of my behavior and its effect on others,' as well as 'switching on' my positive filter, has helped me both professionally and personally. If you want to grow as a manager, a leader, or as an individual, I am certain that Barry can provide you with the insights you need to take a great step forward. Barry, thank you for your dedication, commitment, and enthusiasm!
